CANALI Spring Summer 2013 Collection

Canali, luxurious and elegantly tailored menswear for over 78 years.

A result achieved by defending Italian artisan expertise, creative flair, style, attention to detail and a boundless love for everything that expresses elegance and sophistication.

One of its key sources of inspiration for Spring Summer 2013 Collection is a group of garments in super light cotton and silk, with sharp lines but impalpable colours: what seem at first to be whites are in fact yellows, sky blues, water, rose pink and wisteria, featured in loosely flowing t-shirts.

For its unlined or semilined jackets, the collection borrows rounded peak lapels, constructed but soft shoulders, rounded breast pockets in pure tailor made style, and a contoured cut with fitted waist, presented in both singlebreasted models with peak lapels and sixbutton doublebreasted versions.

Canali’s signature Kei jacket demonstrates its versatility again and again, playfully choosing strong colours, striking colour combinations and an elegance that is always somewhat outspoken to faithfully reproduce the style of a city that seems like one big stage.

What's Your Ideal Home?

Hi folks, I am gonna to share about the InteriCAD Interior Design Award Ceremony 2012 in this post.

InteriCAD Interior Design Award Ceremony was designed in 2002 by TS Exim to establish a world class platform to recognizing and awarding talented interior designer in Malaysia and now around the world. The participating projects were scrutinised based on a strict criteria of originality and innovation, creativity, space planning, aesthetics and colour.

There were only 4 entries qualified to be the gold winner of IIDA 2012.
Below is the gold winners list;

Residential Category - Essential Design Integrated Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia)
Corporate Office Category - Santa Fe Interior Architecture Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia)
Entertainment Category- Fantastic Red Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia)
Food & Beverage Category- APieceOfArt Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia)

Wong Pei San (Gold Winner of Residential), Fendarie Su (Gold Winner of Corporate), Annie Low (Gold Winner of F&B), Jayden Sia (Gold Winner of Entertainment)
Everyone hopes to have an ideal home. A home that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Of course, the space is important too.

I will highlight the residential project here as this can easily relate to you. Who knows you get some inspirations or ideas after you see their project.
The residential project is nestled on a hill behind Hartamas Shopping Mall. The project was to renovate a luxury 4 storey link house surmounting to 6,644sqft. The staircase is the main feature in the house and was stripped from its old steel bar hand rail and introduced glass railing to create a floating effect. Where once was a bare wall, it became the main feature in the house connecting 4 floors. The staircase was designed with mirror panelling with individually mounted timber strips in varies heights.

The design is based on modern classical concepts for the bedrooms and the common area in contemporary modern design. At road level one enters to the corridor foyer surpassing the part mirror part timber panelling to the kitchen, living and dining. Same entry treatment was given for the lower ground floor from the car park. With bright frosted glass panels with a sky light from the first floor, it creates a dramatic mood setter.  The entire home is also illuminated with warm lighting, bringing together all spaces in a uniformed welcoming atmosphere.

Let's dream big! You and I deserve a nice home! haha...

Minju Kim, winner of the 2013 H&M Design Award

The winner of the 2013 H&M Design Award is Minju Kim, a 26-year-old student at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Minju won the chance to present her collection with her own show at the Mercedes-Benz Stockholm Fashion Week, as well as a prize of €50,000. Minju also won the opportunity to develop pieces from her collection to be sold in selected H&M stores this autumn. Minju was chosen by a grand jury which included fashion designer Jonathan Saunders, editor-at-large Tim Blanks, stylist Leith Clark, photographer Sølve Sundsbø, blogger and photographer Hanneli Mustaparta, fashion journalist Kristopher Arden Houser, H&M’s Creative Advisor Margareta van den Bosch, and H&M’s Head of Design Ann-Sofie Johansson.

Minju is a designer from South Korea who is now in her final masters year studying fashion at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. She won the H&M Design Award 2013 with her BA collection titled “Dear My Friend”, inspired by Japanese Manga cartoonist Junji Ito. The inspiration may be fantastical, but the work that went into the collection was incredibly serious. The H&M Design Award judges were impressed by Minju’s determination to make each piece as perfect as she could. When Minju graduates next year, she plans to gain experience through internships at established brands, before setting up a label of her own.

“I still can’t believe it that I have won the H&M Design Award 2013. It’s so amazing to be able to show at Mercedes-Benz Stockholm Fashion Week, and to experience what it’s like to have a show all to yourself. It’s such an amazing opportunity, and such a big surprise,” says Minju Kim, winner of the H&M Design Award 2013.
